Meriñán is a working class neighborhood made up of three rows of pavilions located next to Iberdrola Electricity Factory in the center of La Felguera (Asturias). These buildings were built in the late 1950s.

Little by little they have been isolated from the city as they are surrounded by industrial facilities: the factories of Iberdrola itself, Bayer and the new highway “Autovía del Nalón».

A specific need for the land generated by a desire to expand the facilities of the electric plant, have proceeded to the abandonment and demolition of these buildings. The project presents the requirements and effects derived from this research process.
