EMOTIONAL RESCUE
Don’t you know promises were never meant to keep?
Just like the night, they dissolve off in sleep
I’ll be your saviour, steadfast and true
I’ll come to your emotional rescue
I’ll come to your emotional rescue
The lotus flower and human connection crosses numerous cultural and geographical boundaries from ancient times. It is revered spiritually by several cultures and its roots, seeds, leaves, and stems are all edible. When cutting the rhizomes of the flower some filaments appear connecting the two parts. In Asian cultures, this is a symbol of emotional relationships where, even after breaking up, there is a connecting link between the two people. Something similar to the function of the fascia, a sheet of connective tissue beneath the skin which covers and connects the deep structures of the body making possible the small physiological movements such as the heartbeat.
